Photo Essay: A Day in Chicago

A Day in Chicago

It should come as no surprise that nature is usually my sanctuary of choice. The peace and quiet found by sitting at the edge of a river or climbing a steep incline to take in a view is generally where I feel most at home. However, bustling cities have a place in my heart as well.

A Day in Chicago

I have always wanted to visit Chicago, so when I had a free afternoon after an interview, I struck out to see what I could see. I found myself wandering around Millennium Park, marveling at the collections in the Modern Wing of The Art Institute of Chicago, and taking in the skyline via the Skydeck at Willis Tower.

It was hot and humid—my clothes sticking to me in all the wrong places—but exploring this great city was well worth the effort.
