Follow Friday: Gypsy Mobile Boutique

You GUYS. I've found the coolest new truck on the block. Meet my latest Follow Friday find, Gypsy.

Uh huh...you can believe your eyes...it's a fashion truck. So shiny.

Owned and operated by Bridgette Anglin Maldonado (yup, that's her behind the wheel),

Gypsy is the only (known) mobile boutique up and running right now in Northern California. While other fashion trucks are in the works in the Bay Area, this beauty stands alone in the sea of food trucks you can now find in Sacramento, California.

In fact, you will find Gypsy at Sacramento's food truck festival, SactoMoFo this Saturday. "I'll be there from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.," said Bridgette. "I'm pretty excited!"

{Bring your credit cards, by the way. Gypsy uses Square for all transactions.}

Bridgette stocks the boutique with clothing and accessories from both Southern California and Sacramento. She even gets in on the action by selling her own line of jewelry. Have a look-see:

Charming, right?

Well, let me tell you that Bridgette is equally as charming. She and her husband Marvin (Owner and Design Director at inFORM Design), along with their family, completely tricked out this truck. From the interior storage areas over the wheel wells and custom steel stairs to the solid electrical work and sweet sound system, Gypsy has got it goin' on.

It all began as an idea in 2006 when the two were living in San Diego. "We had just come out of a bar and two girls pulled up in an airstream trailer," said Bridgette. "It looked like they were setting up a vintage boutique and I thought it was brilliant."

Fast forward several years and here we are hanging out on R Street in the raddest truck I've ever had the pleasure of stepping into the back of. I see success in the future for this little gem. Don't you?

Well, then get to following! The best way to know when and where you can catch Gypsy is through social media. Be sure to follow the little black truck on Twitter and Facebook to get the most up-to-date schedule. You can also see how Gypsy transformed via the Facebook page, which has ton of 'before' and 'during' photos.

As I mentioned, Gypsy will be at SactoMoFo this weekend. Bridgette is also looking for any collaborative opportunities she can dream up. She will, of course, participate in more events as summer approaches. Currently, she carries really cool tote bags from Create to Build, which benefits Habitat for Humanity. You can find out more about the cause and how they're partnering up here. She's also looking to work with salons, fashion designers and other complementary businesses.

Interested? You can reach out to Bridgette through social media, but I'd get on it. I have a feeling she's going to be very busy in the coming months.

We've got a whole new generation of gypsies among us, my friends. If that doesn't make for a happy Friday, I don't know what will!
