West Coast + Joan Didion + Happy Links

attachment-51b0e522e4b0ffb99456e2d4

"Late afternoon on the West Coast ends with the sky doing all its brilliant stuff." - Joan Didion

Happy Links:

  • Joy Cho of the blog Oh Joy! is always coming up with fresh, fun content and design ideas and I can't help but be inspired. She has started a series about her experiences as a creative entrepreneur. It's a fascinating read, if you have a moment.
  • This post from fellow Sacramentan, Ashlee Gadd made me giggle. It's true... both the home rental and sales markets in the Sacramento region are insane right now. I'm so excited for her little family as they take the next step in their journey.
  • Farmers market season is in full swing and I am loving all of these smart tips from the gals at Considering You.

Wrap it Up:

  • Denver, Colorado is a officially a new favorite. I finally had a chance to write about my quick trip at the end of April. I'll be heading back soon for sure.
  • I was super excited to announce my participation in the "It's a Banner Day" collaborative art show this week. The gallery show is taking place through the end of the month at Hygienic Art Galleries in New London, CT and I'm so grateful for Kat and Patti Murphy who put the whole thing together!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Albert Einstein + Grand Teton National Park + Happy Links

{"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better."  //  Albert Einstein}

Happy Links:

  • Remember Lincoln Logs? I loved them as a youngster. Anthology Magazine posted a little tidbit from their latest issue and I'm thinking it might be time to splurge on an annual subscription.
  • Speaking of our younger years, I just happened to catch a tweet yesterday from Kelly Beall of Design Crush about Camp Grounded. It's like the summer camp I never attended as a child, but for adults. Yes, please!
  • Have you read this post over on Oh Joy? It's such a great note to all of the creative beings out there who are struggling to figure out just where they fit.

Wrap it Up:

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
